You’ll be responsible for creating communications that inform, influence and inspire, whether that’s shaping external narratives, building media relationships or helping colleagues understand and connect with what matters most to the business.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days a week in the Milton Keynes office.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on role for a communications professional who can think strategically and deliver at pace. You’ll lead on both internal and external communications, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with business priorities.
Your work will span PR, thought leadership, campaign delivery, leadership communications and channel management with plenty of opportunity to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering integrated communications plans that support organisational goals.
- Leading internal and external campaigns that enhance reputation, build trust and increase engagement.
- Supporting marketing activity such as industry events, exhibitions and customer announcements, ensuring strong, consistent messaging.
- Managing internal communications programmes across areas including people initiatives, health and safety, CSR and strategic change.
- Developing proactive media strategies, building strong journalist relationships and securing high-quality coverage.
- Driving thought leadership activity to position the organisation and its leaders as credible voices in the industry.
- Managing industry award entries and related communications activity.
- Tracking performance and providing insight-led updates on communications and PR activity.
- Proven experience in internal communications and PR, with at least two years at Communications Manager level or equivalent.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing across the business.
- Excellent attention to detail and experience owning content sign-off processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a team.
- Experience managing intranet systems and CRM tools for internal communications.
